Around the world people like to celebrate and there's no better occasion than a national holiday. Here is a list of countries who will be celebrating their national holiday in the month of May.

Argentina – May 25. Argentina celebrates Revolution Day to mark the end of Madrid's rule in Buenos Aires. On this day you will find parades, music and traditional cuisine. You will also find public transportation are free to those attending the festivities.
Azerbaijan – May 28. On this day they celebrate the founding of the Democratic Republic of Azerbaijan.
Bermuda – May 24. Bermuda Day is celebrated around the island every year on the 24th or then weekend nearest to it. People celebrate with a parade and a road race across the island. As well on this day locals see it as time to finally go into the water after Christmas.
Cameroon – May 20. This National day commemorates the creation of a unitary state in Cameroon.
Georgia – May 26. This day celebrates their independence from Russia in 1918. And just in case they forget, Russia will drive their army back in once in a while to remind the Georgians.
Guernsey – May 9. This day is when Guernsey, part of the Channel Islands, was liberated from Nazi Germany. They celebrate with a remembrance as well as the usual thrill rides and games.
Guyana – May 26. On this day the Guyanese celebrate their independence from the UK. They have speeches from political dignitaries and eat traditional food.
Jordan – May 25. This is the day Jordan celebrates its history and its independence from the United Kingdom.
Norway – May 17. The signing of the Constitution of Norway happened on this day in Eidsvol. They celebrate with parades of singing and dancing in costume. This spring celebration is found all over the country, from big cities to small towns, and it's a great event to see if you're in Norway.
Paraguay – May 15. The Independence of Paraguay is observed on the 15th. You will find the best celebration in Asuncion, the countries capital. This is a social holiday with parades as well in the larger cities. You can expect to have barbeques, play sports and listen to music. Find lots of the local foods and liquors being consumed.
Yemen – May 22. Yemen celebrates the unity of North and South Yemen on their National Day.
