National Holidays and Independence Days Celebrated Around the World in November

Around the world people like to celebrate and there's no better occasion than a national holiday. Here is a list of countries who will be celebrating their national holiday in the month of November.

Albania – November 28. Independence Day in Albania celebrates their independence from Ottoman rule in 1912.

Algeria – November 1. Revolution Day is celebrated with political speeches and families having traditional meals.

Barbados - November 30. Celebrating their independence from Great Britain, Barbados holds sporting competitions, fairs and community events. Be sure to view the decorative lighting of the parliament building in its capital, Bridgetown.

Bosnia and Herzegovina – November 25. The specific day of Statehood day is not the most agreed upon topic with 3 people in power. In other parts it is celebrated on the 21st.

Cambodia – November 9. Celebrating the day Cambodia achieved its independence from France, they have fireworks and parades for this yearly occasion.

Dominica – November 3. Celebrating its independence from Britain, Dominica can spend up to several weeks showing of its national pride. They have traditional dress, music, dancing and food which are all celebrated during the beginning of November.

Mauritania – November 28. Mauritania celebrates its independence with a day of festivities, as well as eating traditional food with friends and family.

Monaco – November 19. St Rainier's Day is the day celebrated in Monaco as their National Day. It is the anniversary of the coronation of Rainier the III, Prince of Monaco.

Oman – November 18. The birthday of Sultan Qaboos is the National Day of Oman. It is celebrated with images of the Sultan and the flag. Also, don't miss the camel races.

Panama – November 3. Having gained their independence from Columbia is 1903, Panama celebrates this with a parade and festivities. Be prepared for rain as it is this time of year that they get lots of it.
