Making money online is the hot trend these days and online scammers have taken notice. Proof of this can be found with one quick Google search for "make money online" and you have a never ending sea of get rich quick schemes. All of these are a waste of time and resources.
What I suggest is to understand the risks, rewards and investments involved in any get rich quick or money making scheme and decide to pursue the option that you are most comfortable with. Do your research and raise a few eyebrows. Ask the hard questions. We all want to believe that money falls from digital trees on the internet, but it does take work and investment to make a bit of money, and even more to make an actual living.
Below you will find a few suggestions for ways to make a bit of money while your traveling abroad. The primary requirements for any of these are that you have an internet connection, computer and some patience.
Finding the perfect telecommuting opportunity can take time, but there are jobs out there. The key here is once again filtering out the nonsense schemes and understand it takes time to research and find these real opportunities. If you have a background in any computer science or coding, than you already have a foot in the door with your education or professional background. The most important skill required, and perhaps most obvious, is to be very computer literate. If you are confident in this skill, it is going to be your best asset.
A brief selection of jobs that can happen remotely include:
My experience has brought me to two excellent avenues for finding these jobs. One, is to go to your favorite job search engine such as Careerbuilder, but I personally prefer Indeed.com. As the job keyword, try typing in "telecommute" or "telecommute 100%" and leave the location blank. This should bring up only jobs that list telecommuting as an option. Don;t worry about the location. That's the beauty of telecommuting, it doesn't matter where the company is located.
Many telecommuting jobs will require a training period, which means you may have to either go to their training offices or if it is nearby to where you live, head out there for a week or so to get up to speed. Every place will have it's own unique circumstances for that particular telecommuting job.
Better than Indeed, I have found Flexjobs to be an excellent source for jobs specific to telecommuting. They have the best variety of jobs that allow for telecommuting. The only downside is that the website costs money to sign up for. As well, some of the jobs on Flexjobs can also be found just from searching enough online job aggregaters. However if you don't mind throwing down a bit of money, you can have it all in one handy place.
...was his name-o. We all know about the pros and cons of gambling, but let's face it, sometimes you have to pay to play. There are a lot of people who gamble professionally, many playing online poker. In fact, many of today's biggest professional poker stars came from the internet, playing and winning online tournaments to get their spot on a world series of poker tournament. You can find websites that specialize in any one or two games, or a website that does them all. There are plenty of online Bingo options, all you have to do is Google it.
Remember, you only have to win 51% of the time to beat the house. If you're uncertain about how well your gaming skills will line up, you can find rules and advice for every casino game under the sun online. Thank you Wikipedia!
It isn't easy making a living in a totally location independent basis, but it can be done. You have to seek out those opportunities that will provide the best work/life balance for you as you travel or live abroad. What would be the point of living abroad if you are too busy cooped up in a room all day staring at the computer?
Have fun and good luck!
The world is too amazing not to share.
