Giza, Egypt - Here the camels don't roam free, rather they work for every meal, and smell as bad as the day is long. But when in Egypt you have to do take it for a ride. Some advice: decide what this ride is worth to you and don't pay a dollar more. The camel owners often demand more money than the original agreed upon price. They deal with travelers day in and day out and can be sneaky. It isn't the camels fault, but do be careful. Overall it really is an amazing place to travel. More photos from Egypt
Pompeii(Naples), Italy - The dog in this photo really makes someone imagine. This was taken on the grounds of Pompeii, Italy, an ancient city and once an active seaport, which was completely buried under tons of rock and magma after Mount Vesuvius erupted in AD 79. So is this feral dog a relative of the ill-fated people of Pompeii? Perhaps his ancestors have seen the likes of the Roman Empire as they conquered Pompeii in 89 BC. Or maybe they feasted on left over table scraps from the first pizzas ever made in nearby Naples. It is an interesting thought that the history that is around every corner could be seen in the eyes of a dog. More photos of Italy

Manzanillo, Mexico - Here in the seaport of Manzanillo, Mexico, you find all sorts of restaurants, shops and tequila that the locals want to sell. Across the street, people and pigeons relax by the Sailfish statue near the port and this group of pigeons was casually pecking at rocks on the ground and enjoying life. Just then, I was able to snap this picture right as the whole flock took off simultaneously.
Perhaps it was the gust of wind that made them all decide to go, or maybe that handful of rocks I tossed it their general direction but we may never know what ultimately made them feel like they should fly right then. Ketchikan, Alaska - The Alaskan King Crab is one very delicious piece of Alaskan culture. This crab was pulled up in a pot off the coast of Ketchikan. While Alaskan king crabs are typically fished in the bering sea, they can also be found in Russian and other International waters. You might have seen the stories of the old salt's risking life and limb to catch king crabs on The Discovery Channel documentary series, The Deadliest Catch. Alaska Crab Fishing Tour

Mazatlan, Mexico - "Hola, yo soy Senior Eduardo!" This horse is a horse, of course. He was found wandering the beaches of Mazatlan. Unfortunately, he was not able to actually talk. I made that part up. Sorry.
Sand Lake, Wisconsin - On a cool late summer morning, Sand Lake begins to show signs of life. It sometimes looks as if it is a race to be the first one on the lake. The Loon is an incredible species of bird. They have large red eyes which allow them to see underwater as they can dive up to 200 feet deep, for up to ten minutes. The loon is very territorial, with lakes typically only having room for one pair. Later in the season they will gather socially in small groups as they prepare for a winter migration south.
