Ride a camel at the worlds oldest tourist attraction

The Pyramids are obviously the main attraction for people to come to Cairo.
Yes, it is amazing, and yes you do get to ride a camel.

Eating the local food in Egypt

As westerners we are told not to eat the local food as it will make you sick, cause bad gas, E.D. and hair loss. One possible cause might be because they wash it with the local water which is what makes you sick. Others blame the food itself.

What to do about this is up for debate among many travelers. One trend is to eat the food the locals eat, especially if you are there for a long amount of time. The Theory: If you might get sick anyway, then get it over with early so you can enjoy the rest of your trip. Bon appetit! (That's French)

Egypt does need segwaysEgyptian Camel says hello in arabic

Security is tight around the tourist spots in Egypt. A lot of the policing happens as the local merchants sell camel rides. Don't be fooled when a guy named Mohammed offers you a free ride. When you get up on the camel they will start walking it away from the crowd and other security and charge you $50 USD or whatever they can get, for you to get down. "Free to get on, pay to get off." They do this all day and are very good at it.

Step Pyramid near Cairo

The Step Pyramid of Djoser at Saqqara, Egypt - The Great Step Pyramid is likely be the first pyramid you see if you are on an organized tour of Egypt. This is said to be where Pyramids began. Limestone was first used as a large scale construction piece and pyramids were first realized to be used as monumental tombs.

Night time at the pyramids in EgyptImpromptu Tripod while viewing night show at pyramids in Egypt

Welcome to the Great Pyramids of Egypt. Many tours will have you experience the night time Laser and Light show, which actually takes place on the pyramids. This is a hard event to take pictures at because it is at night, so you have longer shutter times and after eating the local fruits, probably have shaky hands as well.
Here we have a great example of impromptu engineering to solve the shaky picture problem. Notice how the cans of Stella stack perfectly straight giving a great line of sight providing a crisp night photo. King Tut would be impressed.

SGreat Pyramids of Egypt

Giza, Egypt - Not enough can be said about these pyramids. They are known around the world and seem to be older than time itself. There is simply too much to sum up in a few short sentences, so all I will say is this:
Don't worry if you get hungry at the Pyramids, you can find a KFC across the street
.
