Florida's main pull for tourists is the beaches and the fishing. Winter is great because the weather cools down to a comfortable 70 degrees. Summer is great because the snow birds finally clear the streets of their poor driving skills. It's a win-win all year in Florida. Hey Florida Fanatics, don't miss panoramic photos of Florida, South Beach at Night and our Trip to The Everglades.

Key West, Florida - This very popular destination is great for parties and seafood. When your here you will certainly be around Duval Street, famous for its bar scene. This is also a place for people to let go and be the person they have always wanted to be. People often come here to be free. It is as if they have another person inside of them, just waiting to come out You could even say they are having a GAY old Tim... I mean time.
If you haven't figured it out, Key West is a renowned gay destination and one thing is for sure; they know how to party.

Fort Zachary Taylor State Park in Key West is not a great place to watch the sunset. They do not allow alcohol and their park rangers will drive around in ATV's and pour yours out if it is spotted. Wasting alcohol is on par with treason, in the Travel Droppings Book O' Life. As you know, wine and champers are of certain necessity while watching the sun go down. For shame, Zach. Luckily though, they do have arrows to point you the right direction in case you get lost.

Another more liquor infused option for sunsets is going on a tour boat. There are more than enough boats to choose from. Prices range from $30 - $60 for a couple hours on the water. Walk around the docks on the west end of the island and talk to any of the operators for the best price. Some boats offer free drinks, others let you bring your own.
Tip: If you want a relaxing sunset cruise, don't go on the cruise with free booze.
When the drinks are free, people will drink too much.
If that's not your game plan, then don't go on those boats.
Or just sit at one of the many restaurants on the west side and enjoy the sunset like a civilized person.
Live music and beer make this option perfect for those looking to save a buck.

Hollywood, Florida - West Lake Park in Hollywood has a great place to go kayaking and canoeing throughout the mangroves. This sport is a great workout on your arms and is best rewarded with beer from Le Tub.
Kayaking in the mangroves of South Florida is becoming more interesting as the introduction of the Burmese Python, Boa Constrictor and North African Python. They have no local predators and thrive in these areas. There have not been any reports of these snakes hurting humans... yet. We're just saying, look twice before entering those mangroves. While some people disagree, we say it's the abundance of lawyers that attracted these snakes to South Florida.
Fishing from the beach is one way to "tackle" the fish population. This guy is on the beach of one of the many state parks along US1 in the Keys. You can also find many fishing spots by renting a canoe and paddling your way along the shores. The only downside of canoes is that you have to paddle. If you have money to spend, hire any of the myriad fishing charter boats in South Florida for a great salt water fishing experience.

Even if you don't have a rod and reel, you can still catch you some dinner. Netting is not as common, but also found to attract the few sportsman.

Fort Lauderdale, Florida - Even Fort Lauderdalians know how to celebrate the seasons with Christmas decorations and even dying the color of there condo fountain red and green. Isn't that festive? If memory serves me correct, baby jesus was baptized in a red fountain in front of Mary's condo. It is good to see that people are trying. If only it was the 1980's again, they could also bring the snow.
Everywhere, Florida - These stinging creatures will be found along the beaches washed up by the tides or hurricanes. They show up around late summer and early fall, just like people from New England. The main difference is that while both are annoying, the Jellyfish are more polite.
Here's a great recipe: Get one jellyfish and one peanutbutteryfish, put them on a kaiser roll and enjoy a fish sandwich.

Everywhere, Florida - This is a little hobby called Shelling. It is very easy to do and look at the shells you find! That's right, you will come across all sorts of shells just like this one, waiting for you to pick it up. Guaranteed. Who knew it was so easy? If your patience for shelling is running thin, then go to a souvenir shop and buy a conch shell for $5 and take its picture on the beach.
If you are familiar with the phrase "take only photographs, leave only footprints", here is proof of doing both at the same time. While trolling through the souvenir shops you can find loads of these same photos of footsteps on the beach. Save your money and take one yourself.
